About Charles F. Winans Charles Francis Winans has exhibited his works in almost 100 galleries and has been included in numerous shows throughtout the Southwest, including the McNay Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles. His illustrations have been published in many publications and his art in public places attracts millions. Charles was born in Alice, Texas in 1939 in the home of his aunt Milla. He was named after Milla's husband Charles Winn. Mr. Winn was at that time with the Hope and Rohan Drilling Company drilling for the first oil from the King Ranch. Charles Winn called him 'Little Bubba'.
